About the role

A Regional Works Program Manager is required within our Regional Operations Branch as part of the Network Services Division.

The Regional Works Program Manager is responsible for a team that prepares detailed schedules and resource plans for Essential Energy’s North Coast Region of NSW. This role will be required to ensure that schedules and plans are produced in a timely and effective manner, aligning to the strategic objectives of the business.  

The Regional Works Program Manager will report to the Regional Services Manager, and will lead a team of Works Programmers and Works Coordinators to facilitate the preparation and delivery of efficient works schedules and resource plans within agreed timeframes. The successful applicant will  through the team, ensure all schedules and resource plans promote  Essential Energy’s commercial and financial principles, whilst maximising resource utilisation in a safe manner, in delivering the organisations Strategic Asset Management Plan.

The role will also oversee the Works Coordination task allocation / dispatch function, and will serve as an escalation point for exceptions or issues encountered on a daily basis. 

About your experience

To be successful in this role you will be required to demonstrate your ability in the coordination and management of a multi-disciplined team. You will also be required to demonstrate established professional skills and experience in leadership, negotiation and influencing, being able to develop strong relationships with multiple internal stakeholders. You will also need strong analytical capability, using provided data to influence your decision making and the establishment of a continuous improvement culture within your direct team and more broadly the Regional Operations branch.

A Bachelor of Project Management or demonstrated capability through past employment experience and/or relevant qualifications, drivers licence and Work Cover NSW Construction Induction Certificate is required. Electrical Engineering qualifications will be regarded highly.
