About the role

Multiple positions have become available within our Network Services division in the Regional Operations Branch at Tamworth.

The Works Coordinator is responsible for monitoring the delivery of the Essential Energy works schedule on a daily basis, and to assist the Area Manager and Senior Resource Supervisor / Resource Supervisor with efficient and timely dispatch of work to field crews.

The Works Coordinator will also be responsible for monitoring works delivery performance to identify daily exceptions and unforeseen circumstances affecting the delivery of the scheduled works, ensuring that any changes to the works schedule are feasible and adhere to safety regulations and works delivery requirements.

There will be a requirement for this position to have coverage from 6am to 6pm Monday to Friday.  Where the business need permits, some applicants will be able to access flexible workplace arrangements such as early start and finish, part time roles, or job sharing.

About your experience

To be successful in this role you will require a Diploma of Business, IT or Project Management or relevant discipline (or demonstrated capability) along with experience in a resource planning and coordination role in a similar environment, as well as extensive knowledge and understanding of works planning, scheduling, and project management methodologies and practices. An understanding of the electrical distribution and/or electricity network operations would be an advantage. You will also have the ability to manage and analyse data, along with strong organisational and problem solving skills, strong communication and negotiation skills.
