About the role

Multiple Works Programmer positions have become available within our Network Services division in the Regional Operations Branch at Tamworth.

The Works Programmer is responsible for the development and optimisation of resource plans and works schedules against the forecasted scope of works for a 3-6 month rolling horizon. The Works Programmer will work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders in both Regional Operations management and functional areas to maximise utilisation rates, whilst mitigating any potential impacts that may arise from unexpected demand variations.

About your experience

To be successful in this role you will require an Advanced Diploma in Business, IT or Program Management (or demonstrated capability) along with experience in a similar demand forecasting and/or resource planning role. Extensive knowledge and understanding of works planning, scheduling and project management methodologies and practices will be highly desirable. Similarly, an understanding of the electrical distribution and/or electricity network operations, accompanied by experience in works execution will be an advantage. You will also have the ability to think both strategically and innovatively, with strong organisational planning, communication and negotiation skills.
