About the role

Multiple Works Coordinator positions have become available within our Network Services division in the Regional Operations Branch at Port Macquarie.

The Works Coordinator is responsible for monitoring the delivery of the Essential Energy works schedule on a daily basis, assisting local operational management  with the efficient and timely allocation of work to field crews.

This position will also be responsible for monitoring works delivery performance, identifying daily exceptions and unforeseen circumstances affecting the delivery of scheduled works program. A key responsibility of the role will be to ensure that any changes to the works schedule are undertaken in full consideration of the commercial priorities of the business as well as adhereing to safety compliance and works delivery requirements.

The operational coverage of the Works coordination team will be between the hours of 6am to 6pm Monday to Friday.

About your experience

To be successful in this role you will require a Diploma of Business, IT or Project Management or relevant discipline (or demonstrated capability) along with experience in a resource planning and coordination role in a similar environment. Extensive knowledge and understanding of works planning, scheduling, and project management methodologies and practices will be highly desirable. Similarly, an understanding of the electrical distribution and/or electricity network operations may be an advantage. Your ability to manage and analyse data, along with strong organisational and problem solving skills, strong communication and negotiation skills will be key to success in this Works Coordinator role.
