We currently have an opportunity for a Network ASP Manager.

This role provides ownership, and management of Essential Energy's Contestable Works end to end process and systems. This includes development, review, update and execution of processes for ASP staff authorisation and familiarisation, systems to manage contestable work including associated milestones and defects, as well as provision of data quality reviews and process compliance.

Additionally, an extensive workload of communications (general and specific) and reporting fall within this portfolio. This role also includes the responsibility for development, review and execution of a communications plan addressing both internal and external communications, incident investigation including liaison with corporate teams as required, for management of authorisation statuses.

 Experience and Skills Required for the role: 

  • Demonstrated experience preferably in a similar role within the electricity distribution industry in contestable works, preferably with asset management or engineering/commercial and regulatory aspects
  • Strong leadership experience with demonstrated experience in leading effective asset management teams including direction setting and change management
  • Demonstrated experience in managing the development and successful implementation of business systems and process improvement initiatives
  • Demonstrated experience in managing the preparation of communication plans
  • Strong understanding of commercial considerations and risk management principles including consequence, likelihood and residual risk
  • Working knowledge of asset management practices and standards including ISO55001
  • Demonstrated experience in the provision of information to regulatory bodies
  • Excellent knowledge of legislative and regulatory requirements eg WHS, IPART, AER, Electricity Act, etc
  • Demonstrated experience in incident investigations and outcome management
  • Demonstrated experience with quality assurance/ quality audit process development, implementation, application and reporting.

  • Capability in the automation of complex processes
  • Professional interpersonal and influencing skills with a proven ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders to build collaborative working relationships across all levels of the business and externally
  • Strong facilitation skills in conflict management and arbitration in order to resolve differences between internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong analysis, reporting and problem-solving capability with a focus on commercial acumen
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to prepare executive and external documentation, reports, briefings, and socialise recommendations for business implementation.
  • Excellent skills in computer operations and business system software to gather and prepare reports. 

Qualifications needed for the role: 

Required 

  • Bachelor of Business Management or demonstrated capability through past employment experience and/or relevant qualifications
  • Trade qualifications within a relevant discipline. 

Desirable

  • Incident Cause Analysis Method (ICAM) training.
