The Role:

The Major Connections Case Manager will be responsible for the case management of High Voltage (HV) connection projects for the engagement and implementation of contractual, technical and legal processes for the new or altered connection of customers to the HV network.  The Major Connections Case Manager will also provide support to the Major Connections Manager in the continual improvement, reporting and development of the critical major connections functions while providing quality customer service to Essential Energy’s stakeholders.

Requirements for the Role:

To be successful in this role, you will have an associate degree in Electrical Engineering or an Advanced Diploma of Electrotechnology with electives in power. A Driver's Licence is essential.  It is desirable that you will hold qualifications in Contract Management, Business Management and/or Project Management.

Experience Required:

You will have extensive experience in a similar role in the Construction, Energy/Electrical or Utilities industry.  You will be able to demonstrate experience in managing connection projects in line with business and industry requirements and standards and will have experience in the legislative regulatory and policy framework, compliance and reporting obligations affecting customer connections.  You will possess a high-level understanding of the legislative and regulatory framework in which utility businesses operate including relevant industry regulations, standards and electrical safety rules.  Additionally, you will be able to demonstrate positive outcomes in contract negotiations with experience in legal interpretations and the potential impacts on internal and external stakeholders.  You will have a high-level understanding of commercial considerations and risk management principles including consequence, likelihood and residual risk and an in-depth knowledge and extensive application of Essential Energy's standards and policies.
